Planning & Preparing For What God Has Called You To
“Ok, how am I going to do this?” I thought to myself.
It was a big project. A big dream. I’d been dreaming it up for nearly a year and it was only becoming more and more clear that this God-inspired goal was something I needed to move on. As eager as I was to get started I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t there little devil on shoulder whispering lies like, you’re not ready for this, you don’t know what you’re doing, this is too much for you to take on; and the worst of all lies, maybe this dream was meant for someone else.
Enough already!! I may not have had all the answers in that one moment. I may not have been the most organized, assertive, diligent, or consistent lady on the block; but I had gotten my hands on the most effective and practical productivity tool that I could find; and all that was about to change.
Cultivating the Right Habits
Ready for some honest? In my experience, most of the stumbling blocks we face when pursuing our goals and passions aren’t circumstantial. I used to think if only I knew the right people, if only I had a bigger following, if only I had a bigger budget; as if those things were the factors that would determine whether or not I was going to be successful.
I’d watch other writers as their platforms and influence grew and would wonder, what do they have that I don’t? What are they doing that I’m not. And the answer was simple.
What did they have that I didn’t: the right work habits and work ethic.
What were they doing that I wasn’t: Cultivating those skill sets and putting those habits and that ethic to work. They were working it!
And me? I just wasn’t there yet. There was a lot of growing an cultivating that needed to be done on my part BEFORE I could expect what I was building to flourish and be fruitful. That’s where this productivity tool really came into play.
Making Power Moves With Power Sheets
They call them, Powersheets. They being Lara Casey and the team from Cultivate What Matters. What I appreciated about the Powersheets right off the bat is that they were a productivity tool that would grow with me. I could use them to address personal goals like, character development, healthy living, family and relationship goals; and I could use it to address work related goals. You’d be surprised to learn how the two can cross over.
Which is another thing I absolutely LOVE about the Powersheets. It’s more than just surface work. With them you are able to address the root of multiple problems at one time. So you’re not just slow rolling when it comes to growth. On the contrary, you are making some major Power moves.
Example: I used to really lack consistency in a lot of areas. Writing, date nights, one on one time with my kids, healthy eating, Bible study. I mean, it was bad. When I started addressing these areas with the Powersheets I realized that I although it seemed like I was struggling in a billion different areas the answer to each problem was cultivating one healthy habit: consistency. Growth in that one would produce fruit in 5 separate areas of my life!
The Perfect Productivity Tool for Purpose Driven Women
When I look at my life after almost a year of using Powersheets I am amazed at two things:
1| God and how being obedience to him and pursuing what He’s called me to has been filled with so many so much growth and so many blessings.
2| How a productivity tool like Powersheets was able to help someone as unorganized and all over the place as me reign it in and make a sizable dent in my goals.
I’d love to see that same thing happen for you! It’s totally possible!
